Ethics and Publishing Policies

The International Journal of Advanced Engineering Application (IJAEA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal ensures transparency, accountability, and fairness throughout the editorial and publication process, thereby maintaining the trust of authors, readers, reviewers, and the wider research community. Ethical practices form the foundation of IJAEA, and every stakeholder—authors, reviewers, and editors—is expected to adhere to these principles.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting to IJAEA must ensure that their manuscripts represent original and unpublished work. Submissions must not be under simultaneous consideration by another journal. Proper acknowledgment of all sources of information, data, and inspiration is mandatory, and plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited. All research data and findings should be presented truthfully, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation. Authors are also required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation of results.

Furthermore, all individuals listed as co-authors must have contributed significantly to the research and approved the final version of the manuscript. Once a manuscript is submitted, authors are expected to cooperate fully with the editorial and peer-review process. They should respond promptly to revision requests, clarify doubts when necessary, and address reviewer comments constructively and in good faith.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Peer reviewers play a vital role in safeguarding the quality and credibility of IJAEA. Reviewers are entrusted with the responsibility to provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback to help authors improve their manuscripts. Confidentiality is strictly maintained, and reviewers are expected to refrain from using unpublished material for personal or professional advantage. Each review should focus solely on the academic merit, originality, and technical soundness of the manuscript, ensuring that the evaluation is free from bias.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors of IJAEA oversee the peer-review process with fairness, impartiality, and professionalism. Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of the manuscript’s scholarly value, originality, and relevance to the scope of the journal, without any discrimination. Editors are responsible for safeguarding the integrity of the review system, treating all manuscripts confidentially, and taking decisive action in cases of suspected ethical violations. If necessary, editors may reject manuscripts that do not comply with ethical standards or request further clarifications from the authors.

Plagiarism, Misconduct and Retractions

To maintain integrity, IJAEA employs plagiarism detection software to screen every manuscript prior to review. Any submission found to have significant overlap with previously published work, or evidence of falsification and fabrication, will be rejected outright. In cases where research misconduct is discovered after publication, IJAEA reserves the right to take corrective measures. These may include issuing corrections, publishing formal expressions of concern, or retracting the article entirely. Such actions are undertaken to ensure that the published record remains accurate, trustworthy, and beneficial to the research community.

By adhering to these ethical and publishing policies, IJAEA ensures that all published work is original, credible, and contributes meaningfully to the advancement of engineering and applied sciences. This ethical commitment strengthens the reputation of the journal and upholds the confidence of its authors, readers, and partners across the globe.
